Je vous prie de trouver ci dessous pour rappel, de la part du Pr Jaime Migone, l'appel à communication pour le XVIIe Congrès de The International Committee for the Conservation of the Industrial Heritage.

Intitulé "Industrial Heritage: Understanding the past, making the future sustainable", il se tiendra les 13 et 14 septembre 2018 à la Universidad Central,  à Santiago, Chili.

La date limite d'envoi des propositions est fixée au 15 mars 2018.

To the extent that heritage in general has taken a solid role in the making of societies in our current world, industrial heritage in particular, has risen during the last decades, the train of culture, as a relevant actor, Which has much to say, in order to understand and understand us, as human beings.

The industrial heritage has been installed with great force, as a new way of understanding the local culture and its relations with society. Its understanding from the local has allowed to be able to relate the industrial patrimony with its roots and international networks, always present of multiple forms. The international dimension of this cultural manifestation, crossing the borders from its gestation and development, to the peculiarities that it acquires in its adaptation to the local realities, allow to understand the industrial heritage as a wise document of the past, present today, through its various tangible manifestations And intangible.

Knowing and learning of the industrial heritage today, allows us, in a better way, to anticipate and adapt the challenges of the future of the 21st century. Knowing the Industrial Heritage is a way of understanding the past, of understanding the positive and the negative that man has done to his planet and himself.

To understand the past, means, to be able to make a better future, to understand the past through industrial heritage is to be making the future, towards a better, more humane, more sustainable world.

The understanding and knowledge of industrial heritage, from a wide multidisciplinary spectrum, typical of this activity, allows us to immerse ourselves in its past role and also, to anticipate and incorporate this wisdom for future management. Understand the past from the industrial heritage, without doubt, that will allow us in a better way, to make the future more sustainable.

 

 To focus and emphasize this approach, of sustainability from the industrial heritage, in its different sections, will be a challenge to incorporate, from research and documentation; From cases and projects of value; And also for the various forms of management of museums, sites and industrial heritage in general.

 

 • Section 1: Research and Documentation: Presentation of research, publications and work related to the preparation of cadastres, inventories and documentation, which are disciplinary or multidisciplinary, focused on knowledge and dissemination of industrial heritage.

 

• Section 2: Cases and Projects: Presentation of sites, containers and / or contents, where the value of the industrial heritage is manifested as a central objective of each project. They can be considered projects executed as well as in conceptual phase and programmed for a future execution.

 

• Section 3: Industrial Heritage and Management: Presentation of sites, museums, industrial parks and all kinds of cultural initiatives, which are operating or have operated, whose objective is or has been, to manage the industrial heritage, for its value, to Through a permanent action with a use for the community. The industrial heritage managed through a new activity, is of great interest for the sustainability and the revaluation of its context.
