EOGAN (European Oil and Gas Archives Network) est un réseau européen d’archivistes, chercheurs et conservateurs provenant de différentes universités, centres de recherches et entreprises actives dans le secteur de l’énergie (https://www.eogan.org/).
En 2019 EOGAN tiendra sa 10ème conférence annuelle aux Archives de ENI à Castel Gandolfo (Rome, Italie) le 23 et 24 mai sur le thème "Energy and audiovisual heritage: sources, research, and visual culture"

EOGAN 2019 Energy and audiovisual heritage: sources, research, and visual culture We are pleased to announce a call for papers for the 10th Conference of the European Oil & Gas Archives Network (EOGAN), the network of energy archives and researchers, which will be generously hosted in the new headquarters of the ENI Archives in Castel Gandolfo, Rome, Italy. The conference will take place on the 23rd-24th May, 2019. EOGAN provides a network for people working to preserve and promote the use of energyrelated records across Europe, including: ➔ archivists, records managers and records creators in the industry ➔ oil and gas companies wishing to develop business archives ➔ museums and organisations with an interest in energy history ➔ universities and academics working on energy-related topics The annual EOGAN conference is a meeting place for people to share ideas and develop valuable international links across the energy research and archives sectors. The theme for the 2019 Conference is ‘Energy and audiovisual heritage: sources, research, and visual culture’, and will explore the following broad topics: ➔ Accessibility of audiovisual sources in archival collections ➔ What is AUDIOVISUAL (advertisements, films, photographs, etc.) ➔ Communication strategies and sources of memory ➔ Usage, reusage, and preservation of audiovisual sources ➔ GDPR for archives: how to approach it and its long-term implications ➔ Using audiovisual sources for historical research: oral history, visual history, and? ➔ Assembling, presenting and preserving audiovisual sources in museums and exhibitions ➔ Using audiovisual sources in art works · We invite you to submit papers on the topics mentioned above, or any other aspect of our conference theme – we welcome a wide range of perspectives. Please submit your paper or an abstract of 200-250 words with a working title, to eogan.network AT gmail.com by the 15th February 2019, along with a short bio including name, email address and organisation.
