============
Dear all,
In 1874, the Geological Society of Belgium was founded by Gustave Dewalque and colleagues from Belgian universities and industry in Liège. To celebrate this anniversary, we are organising a session dedicated to the history, heritage, and collections of Geosciences as part of the International Geologica Belgica Meeting. This conference will be held in Liège (Belgium) from 11 to 13 September (https://www.geologicabelgica2024.uliege.be/cms/c_18498639/en/geologica-belgica-2024). The meeting is organised by Geologica Belgica Luxemburga Scientia & Professionis and the University of Liège.
Our session is dedicated to the history of geological sciences in all its forms, from teaching to research, from promotion to industry, and to the complex links between scientists and society.
We are pleased to invite you to participate in this meeting and to submit your 500-word abstracts for SESSION 7 on 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SOCIÉTÉ GÉOLOGIQUE DE BELGIQUE: HISTORY, HERITAGE AND COLLECTIONS IN GEOSCIENCES.
Extended deadline: 1 June
Please contact us if you have any questions.
We hope to see many of you there. Please feel free to pass on this invitation.
Best regards,
Annick Anceau (A.Anceau AT uliege.be) & Julien Denayer (Julien.Denayer AT uliege.be), conveners
